MCPF Funded Lunch for Museum Tour

In August 2026, members of the Montgomery County Police Crisis Response and School Resources Division toured the Sandy Spring Slave Museum. The group was welcomed by the friendly and informative staff of volunteers for an educational day, learning about African American history, travel through the African Diaspora, slavery, the building of America, Civil Rights and the historic kinship communities of Montgomery County, MD, including Sandy Spring, Emory Grove, and others. Support for the trip was provided by the MCPF.
